Are we seriously interested in giving ourselves time to become peaceful ?
We always say that we do not have time to do things beyond our daily routine work. I do not feel it is genuine in most of the cases. I believe we can do everything what we want to do seriously from within.

Is the King naked?
Do you remember the H C Andersen’s story about The Emperor’s New Suit?
The moral of the story is that, if we strongly believe in something and at the same time all those who are doubtful or non-believers are claimed to be “unfit for their office or unpardonably stupid”, the belief becomes real. To see the truth you need the child who will say in front of all “but he has nothing on at all” - the King is naked. Allow me to approach the present economic situation as the child of the story.
The stake holders in the economy have started commenting that the recession is ending and positive signs are coming everyday. But are they realising the ground reality? Is this recession merely a economic problem?
I believe the root cause of the present situation is a human problem. We are greedy. We do not know the limits. Our desire for making wealth is all consuming without any checks or balances. Although we call ourselves civilized and cultured, we can take any means to earn money. In this chase for our desires we have lost the balance of life. We have forgotten how to live and the meaning of our lives.
As a result we borrowed money (even at a rate 4/5 times higher than the normal rate) just to maintain a lifestyle as promoted by the advertisements and our idols as promoted by the system. Those who are incapable to participate in this rat race became violent from inside and participated in different types of social unrest. We have damaged the limited resources of this world and destructed the ecological balances.
All of us , even a child, is aware of this. But the truth is that we have lost the urge to come out of this situation. We are doing the same thing what we criticize about others.
Is this situation can be reversed by giving Government subsidies to ailing companies or any similar economic packages? The answer is a big NO. We need a paradigm shift in our approach to solving this problem and establish a new world order. We need a change in our thinking pattern.
The shift in our thinking process shall not come easily. We will be forced to think differently when we shall face some unprecedented situations like natural calamities or socio economic disasters which seem inevitable as big catastrophes are witnessed in the recent past.
Now let us talk about the New World Order.
Money has taken the position of Almighty. We measure everything in terms of money or the utility value of it. Anything which is non utilitarian is considered meaningless. As a result human characteristics such as love, care, share has lost its value and we always try to put some price to these qualities. Money is the most powerful thing in life today. As power corrupts, money has corrupted our life to an extent which is beyond correction. So in new world order the power of money has to be restricted and it should be given its proper importance.
Truth in our life has become an article to be found in museums ( or history books). If we do not have truth and transparency in our life , we can not live a happy life. So in new world order we are to accept the age old belief that honesty is the best policy.
Violence has become the rule of the game of life. We have become so modern and developed but still, from a school child to a high flying CEO, is suffering from violence in life. We can’t enjoy our life through violence. So in new world order we must make our life so simple and tension free that it will be free from violence.
Human Values have become priceless. Nobody is interested to pay any importance to values like honesty, integrity, loyalty, kindness etc. How can you think of a perfect world without putting any importance on the basic characteristics of its main constituent? A new world order demands the protection of basic human values.
Comfort seeking mentality has created a class in our society who are not ready to tolerate any difficulty and ready to use the power of their wealth even if it is harmful to the human civilization. New world order will make human labour a glorious part of our life.
The scenario painted above may lead my readers to think that a new world order is not humanly possible. Yes, the belief is not without any justification. But what we have to accept is that our human existence is always evolving. The greatest evolution was our standing on our feet denying the pull of the gravitational force. We can also evolve to the next level. But this level will require more transformation on the level of psyche than the physical changes.
The new world order needs a complete change in the viewpoint of the people who are doing the planning and leading the world. We must set our priorities first. Are we thinking primarily for a common man or our efforts are restricted to a minority group ? The fundamental rule for bringing the new world order must be that you can give something to everybody but not everything to somebody . This change in the thinking process is very difficult.
But the change will come through the power of our inner guidance empowered by the Divine Forces. But this is a matter of inner conviction rather than intellectual reasoning.
The new world order will be lead by the Common Man or the Meek as was called by Jesus in his sermon. A new economic order will be set by them which we may call The Meekonomics which will take care of the basics described here. After all, a sage is waiting for 2000 years for his blessing to take shape one day—“ Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth”( Bible).
